Hi, I have a question about a used JD 755 w/1100 hours on it. I was toldthat the 4wd doesn't work, and that it has had a chronic problem withthe front drive mechanism. I think he said it was a problem with some ring in the front hubs wearing out. Does anyone know much about that? It appears to have been used very hard, but has only 1100 hours onit. It has the model 70 loader and 7(?) backhoe, and a JD front mountsnowblower. Does that blower fit newer models like the 790? I lookedfor a model # on it but only found a serial no. (and I didn't have apen.) Thanks for any info!tim

Tim,
My 755 has the same hrs on it (it's posted in the classifieds)& there is nothing wrong with mine,it don't even use any oil. sounds to me like it was not serviced or operated right or both, ....

Thanks for the followup. I'm absolutely sure that it wasn't operated
correctly, and I wondered if after thrashing the gear train the
first time they just never fixed it properly. (It wasn't dealer
serviced.)

Their new MF needed a clutch at 300 hours, which indicates the
skill level of the chimps they have driving it. :-)

thanks,
tim
